Marshall vs. Central Florida College Football Picks: The University of Central Florida Knights will host the Marshall University Thundering Herd this Sunday evening in a prime time College Football ESPN special with kickoff time at Bright House Networks Stadium set for 8:15 pm ET.  Quarterback Brett Hodges has done a superb job of orchestrating the Knights' offense. Hodges has completed 97-of-165 passes for 1216 yards and eight touchdowns. Wide receivers Rocky Ross (21 catches, 251 yards, two touchdowns), Jamar Newsome (20 catches, 249 yards, three touchdowns), A.J. Guyton (18 catches, 296 yards, one touchdown) and Kamar Aiken (13 catches, 269 yards, three touchdowns) have done well in getting open for Hodges, and creating big plays for the Knights. Brynn Harvey has been a work horse for the Black and Gold backfield. Harvey has rushed 152 times for 632 yards and six touchdowns. He is averaging 90.3 yards per game, and 4.2 yards per carry.
The Thundering Herd is coming off a 27-7 victory over conference opponent UAB. Marshall quarterback Brian Anderson has completed 139-of-232 passes for 1427 yards on the season. He's is averaging 178.4 passing yards per game and also added seven touchdown passes. Anderson will look to a few of his favorite targets on Sunday night. Wide receiver Cody Slate is averaging 62.8 receiving yards per game. He has 43 receptions for 502 yards and three touchdowns. Anderson will also look to wide receivers Antavio Wilson (26 catches, 328 yards, two touchdowns) and Chuck Walker (24 catches, 279 yards, two touchdowns). The Herd's rushing attack is led by running back Darius Marshall. Marshall has rushed for 952 yards on 168 carries. He has also added 10 touchdowns and is averaging 136 rushing yards per game. Marshall's numbers have solidified him a spot as the number two ranked running back in FBS through 8 games.
College Football Picks: This game looks to be an even matchup. While we give UCF a small edge playing on its home field, we like Marshall getting the 7-chalk.

Yankees vs Phillies Game 4 World Series Predictions 2009: The Yankees will look to take a decisive three game lead in the World Series tonight when they take on the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. New York went up 2-1 last night, beating Philadelphia 8-5 in a pivotal game three. This evening's game is scheduled to get underway at 8:20pm ET on FOX. The Yankees finally found their regular season bats last night and they used them to smash out eight hits, three of which  were home runs, and eight runs. However, the Nashville native was nails for the Phillies in last year's playoffs. Blanton made three starts in the 2008 post-season; Philadelphia went 3-0 in those outings and Blanton garnered a miniscule 2.65 ERA over 17 innings pitched. "It's a big game, but it's another game," Blanton said. "And I think you draw from last year, just the fact that you've been there before, you've been in that environment, you've been in that atmosphere...you can just kind of draw back and keep your emotions in check." Unfortunately for Blanton, he will be throwing opposite C.C. Sabathia. Sabathia has been nothing short of superb during these playoffs. In four 2009 post-season starts (NYY 3-1), the big lefty has allowed just 21 hits and five earned runs over 29.2 innings for a 1.32 ERA. He has also walked six while striking out 26. Sabathia will be working on three days rest after getting the start in game one, but for his career, the 29 year old has a 5-3 record and 3.16 ERA on short rest. Carolina Panthers vs Arizona Cardinals NFL Predictions, NFL Picks & NFL Odds: The red hot Arizona Cardinals will host the Carolina Panthers today in a rematch of last year's divisional playoff. The Panthers, quite obviously, are hoping for a different result than the one that eliminated them from the post-season. Panthers Breakdown: Carolina blew a chance to draw its record to an even 3-3 last weekend by falling at home to the Buffalo  Bills. John Fox's squad is now in third place in the NFC South and its prospects of advancing are slim with games against the Saints, Falcons, Dolphins, and Jets coming up. If Jake Delhomme does not play well today, he may find a permanent spot on the Panthers bench. Cardinals Breakdown: Arizona improved to 4-2 last weekend with a huge Sunday night win over the Giants in New York. The 24-17 victory was the third in a row for the Cards and it gave them a one game lead in the NFC West over the Forty Niners. Arizona's offense, with the exception of two games, has played well all season long, but the Cardinals defense has been the spark behind their recent success. The unit gave up an average of 22.6 points in its 1-2 start, but over the last three weeks it has held the opposition to an average of just 13.6 points per contest.
