Two lackluster teams go at it, Sunday Nov 8, as the Seattle Seahawks play host to the Detroit Lions. The Seahawks look for their second home win of the season, while the Lions try to avoid dropping five in a ro. NFL oddsmakers at Sportsbetting.com have the Seahawks as -10 point home favs over the Lions with the over/under set at 43.5 points . Be sure to get your Detroit Lions vs Seattle Seahawks NFL Week 9 Picks in now at Sportsbetting.com
The Lions (1-6) lost to St.Louis 10-17 at home in Week 8. QB Matt Stafford made 14 of 33 passes for 168 yards with a rushing TD and an interception; overall he’s thrown for 1,062 yards with three TD passes and seven interceptions for a 61.7 passer rating. RB Maurice Morris had 14 carries for 63 yards, while WR Kevin Smith made four catches for 49 yards. The Rams were allowing their opponents 30.1ppg and all the Lions could come up with was 10 points , if you can’t score against the worst team in the league you aren’t going anywhere. The Lions are still the same team as last season and now they might be without RB Kevin Smith. WR Calvin Johnson was lost to injury a couple weeks back and is sorely missed, but one player shouldn’t be the demise of a whole team. Their only source of offense is their 20th ranked running game and as for defense they give up a 31st ranked 29.6ppg. The Lions average 16.1ppg and give up 29.6ppg, while they are 0-4 SU on the road where they average 17ppg and allow 39.7ppg. They are 2-5 ATS and 3-4 over/under.
The Seahawks (2-5) lost at Dallas 17-38 in Week 8 and sit third in the NFC West. QB Matt Hasselbeck made 22 of 39 passes for 249 yards with two TD passes; overall he’s thrown for 978 yards with nine TD passes and three interceptions in five starts for a 87 passer rating. RB Julius Jones had 15 carries for 56 yards, while WR Nate Burleson made six catches for 89 yards. WR Deion Branch caught his first touchdown pass of the season, while FB Justin Griffith added a TD. Seattle’s lack of offense is partly due to injuries to wide receivers, their O-line and a lack of a running game. Their offense is ranked 22nd overall with a 17th ranked passing game and 29th ranked running. Their top RB Julius Jones has only rushed for 346 yards in seven games with only one TD. Their defense is average, ranked 16th overall with a 19th ranked pass rush and 10th ranked rush defense. A big part missing on defense is the season ending injury to Lofa Tatupu. On a good note the Seahawks are at home against one of the worst teams in the NFL . The Seahawks average 19.3ppg and give up 21ppg, while they are 2-2 SU at home where they average 22.8ppg and allow 13ppg. They are 2-5 ATS and 3-4 over/under.
Recent Trends to Consider:
- Lions are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game.
- Seahawks are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. NFC.
- Lions are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. NFC.
- Lions are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a ATS loss.
- Lions are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
- Seahawks are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
- Under is 3-0-1 in Seahawks last 4 games as a home favorite.

Bowling Green at Buffalo College Football Picks: At the time Tuesday night's MAC showdown between Bowling Green and Buffalo was scheduled, the schools were pre season favorites in the Mid-America Conference's Eastern Division. As the college football season rolls into Week 10, this game between Buffalo and Bowling Green doesn't look so hot with each team sporting losing 3-5 overall records and stuck near the bottom of the MAC standings. So on a night when the - seldom seen MAC - gets to showcase itself, the viewing audience gets a real dog of a game.
Regardless of how unattractive Tuesday's ESPN2 college football matchup really is; at least gamblers have a game to bet on. Otherwise there wouldn't be much reason to watch.
College football picks oddsmakers at online super-sportsbook Bodog.com lists the Bulls as 3 1/2-chalk favorites with a 57 total. Falcon's backers are getting +140 SU odds on the moneyline while the moneyline price on a Buffalo SU wager is -160.
The Bulls (1-3 MAC) are coming off a heart-breaking 34-31 overtime loss to the Western Michigan Broncos. Ike Nduka finished with 172 yards rushing for Buffalo in the Week 8 loss. The Bulls covered the 5.5-point spread, while the final score played OVER the day's posted total of 51.5.
The Bulls will be looking to get their season back on track against Bowling Green. The Bulls defense will have to play a flawless game if they want to slow down the Falcons offense.
The Falcons, (2-2 MAC) are led by third-year signal caller, Tyler Sheehan, who will be making his 34th consecutive start on Tuesday. Through his first 33 games as a Falcon, he has thrown for 8,743 yards (second-best in school history) and 58 touchdowns. Sheehan and the Falcons are first in the MAC and fourth nationally, averaging 341.4 yards per game through the air and are coming off a month of October, in which they averaged 403.0 passing yards a game. Sheehan’s favorite target is Freddie Barnes who is the nation’s leading receiver. Barnes has 99 catches for 1,054 yards and nine touchdowns on the season.
Sheehan was 35-for-55 passing for 341 yards with one touchdown and one interception for Bowling Green in a 24-10 loss to Central Michigan in Week 8. The Falcons did not cover the 10-point spread, while the final score played UNDER the day's posted total of 61.
College Football Picks: If you absolutely must bet on this game - and we know you do or you wouldn't have read this far- then bet the OVER 61. If you have to bet a side, then take the dog - Bowling Green +3 1/2.

The Tennessee Titans are looking for back to back wins, Sunday Nov 8, as they head into San Francisco to take on the Niners, who’ll be trying to avoid their fourth straight loss. NFL oddsmakers at Sportsbetting.com have the Niners as -4 point home favs over the Titans with the over/under set at 41 points. Be sure to get your Tennessee Titans vs San Francisco 49ers NFL Week 9 Predictions in now at Sportsbetting.com
The Titans (1-6) beat Jacksonville 3-13 at home in Week 8 but still sit last in the . QB Vince Young made his first start since Week 1 of the 2008 season. Young played mistake-free football for four quarters. He completed 15 of 18 passes on his way to an efficient 125-yard, one-touchdown day. He added 31 yards on the ground. Young has won six of his last seven starts and is 19-11 in his career as a starter. RB Chris Johnson had 24 carries for 228 yards with two TD’s, while WR Justin Gage made three catches for 41 yards, while WR Nate Washington added a TD. The Titans pulled down two interceptions and their defense had four sacks on the day. RB Chris Johnson broke the Titans' single-game franchise record with 228 yards rushing, but he might not find it that easy rushing against the Niners second ranked rush defense . The Titans are the second best team at running the ball and with a new QB at the helm they might start throwing the ball more, to confuse their opponent’s defense. They struggle mightily on defense with a league worst 32nd ranked pass rush, but they are average with an 18th ranked rush defense. The Titans average 16.3ppg and give up 30.1ppg, while they are 0-4 SU on the road where they average 11ppg and allow 33.2ppg. They are 2-5 ATS and 4-3 over/under.
The Niners (3-4) lost in Indianapolis 14-18 in Week 8 and still sit second in the NFC West. QB Alex Smith made 19 of 32 passes for 198 yards with one TD pass and an interception; overall he’s thrown for 404 yards with four TD passes and two interceptions in two starts. RB Frank Gore had 13 carries for 91 yards with a TD, while WR Michael Crabtree made six catches for 81 yards. TE Vernon Davis caught their lone TD pass. Despite the loss, they held their own against a team with a high powered offense. San Francisco was just 2 of 10 on third down, including 0 for 7 in situations of third-and-10 or longer. The 49ers' inability to convert on key situations hurt their chances to win. The Niners defense has been hit hard by injuries . LT Joe Staley has a sprained right knee, while CB Nate Clements has a broken right shoulder blade. Both players, injured last week, will miss at least a month and a half. Losing these two is a big blow for the 49ers, who have lost three straight games. The Niners defense currently sits ranked 20th overall with a 29th ranked pass defense and the second best rush defense in the league. As for offense it’s up to their 20th ranked running game to move the chains. The Niners average 21ppg and give up 20ppg, while they are 2-1 SU at home where they average 22.7ppg and allow 18.3ppg. They are 5-1-1 ATS and 3-4 over/under.
Recent Trends to Consider:
- Titans are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games as an underdog of 3.5-10.0.
- Titans are 7-3 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
- 49ers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games after allowing less than 90 yards rushing in their previous game.
- 49ers are 5-1-2 ATS in their last 8 games on grass.
- 49ers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games in November.
- 49ers are 5-1-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
- Over is 4-1 in Titans last 5 vs. a team with a losing record.
- Over is 4-1 in 49ers last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
