Auburn vs LSU College Football Picks, College Football Odds & College Football Predictions: Auburn and LSU will battle it out for second place in the SEC West tomorrow as the two teams square off at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Gene Chizek's squad, currently sitting in third place, is 2-2 in conference play while Les Miles' Tigers are 3-1 and a game back of Alabama. The game is set to get underway at 7:30pm ET on ESPN2. Auburn fell to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in league play last Saturday after dropping its second consecutive conference game. The Tigers lost 14-21 at home to the Kentucky Wildcats a week after getting blasted by the Razorbacks 23-44 in Fayetteville. Auburn's offense, which is averaging 34.9 points and 464.9 yards per game this season, ground to a halt against the Wildcats, racking up just 16 first downs and 315 yards. Quarterback Chris Todd completed just 10-of-24 passes for 80 yards and one interception. The rushing attack kept the Tigers in the game, though, amassing 220 yards at 4.5 yards per carry.

Auburn's defense, which has been suspect most of the season, yielded 21 first downs and 357 yards to Kentucky. The Wildcats were particularly effective on the ground, amassing 282 rush yards (5.8 yards per carry).

LSU lost for the first time back on October 10th as the Florida Gators came into Baton Rouge and left with a 13-3 victory. The Tigers offense had no answer whatsoever for Urban Meyer's defense, posting a meager 12 first downs and 162 total yards. LSU converted just one third down in nine attempts and held the ball 23:30 compared to the Gators possession time of 36:30. Quarterback Jordan Jefferson was ineffective both passing and rushing as he accounted for a total of 95 yards.

The Tigers defense played well, but still gave up 22 first downs and 327 yards to Tim Tebow and company. The Gators did most of their damage on the ground, gashing LSU for 193 rush yards (4.0 ypc).

LSU should be well rested heading into tomorrow's game with Auburn, and it is highly unlikely that Les Miles' squad would drop back-to-back games at home. However, stranger things have happened.

College Football Picks Betting Trend: LSU is 0-8-2 (1-9 ATS as home fav versus SEC in October) against the spread but 8-2 straight up in their last 10 games as a home favorite versus a conference foe.

Florida vs Mississippi State College Football Odds, College Football Predictions & College Football Picks: The Florida Gators are in Starkville, Mississippi this weekend to take on SEC rival Mississippi State. Kickoff is set for 7:30pm ET at Davis Wade Stadium and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN. Florida survived a huge scare last weekend, just getting by Arkansas 23-20 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, to move to 6-0 and further secure their first place position atop the SEC East. The Gators trailed late but scored 10 fourth quarter points to pull out the narrow win. Quarterback Tim Tebow directed Florida's offense, which had four turnovers in the game, to 24 first downs and 391 total yards while completing 17-of-26 passes for 255 yards and a touchdown. He also carried the ball 27 times for 69 yards. 

Florida's banged up defense, which could be minus up to three starters against the Bulldogs, gave up 357 yards to the Razorbacks, but still retained their spot as the nation's top unit.

Head Coach Urban Meyer indicated his team better not sleep on Mississippi State, despite the Bulldogs 3-4 record.

"We better be ready," Meyer said. "They are doing everything on defense that [has] bothered us on offense."

The Bulldogs snapped a three game losing streak last weekend, beating Middle Tennessee State 27-6 in Murfreesboro. Mississippi State's defense held the Blue Raiders to 248 total yards and a 1.7 yards per carry average in the win. They also created four turnovers while the offense went without a ball security miscue for the first time this season. The Bulldogs are currently -4 in turnover margin on the year, despite last week's effort. If they can hang on to the ball, something they could not do in losses to LSU, Georgia Tech, and Houston, than they may have a shot at staying in this game.

Head Coach Dan Mullen has more than staying in it on his mind, though.

"We're coming in, planning to win the football game," Mullen said. "You never go play a game that you think you can't win. Our guys are focusing on winning the game, and focusing on doing the things you have to do to win the football game."

College Football Odds Betting Trend: The Bulldogs are 1-3 straight up but 4-0 against the spread over the last five years when playing as a home dog coming off a road win.
