After the Green Bay Packers didn’t give up any points last week, they’ll look to do the same this week, Sunday Oct 25, against the struggling Cleveland Browns, in Cleveland. Green Bay has split its last four games with Cleveland. NFL oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com have the Packers as -7 point road favs over the Browns with the over/under set at 41.5 points . The Packers (3-2) skunked Detroit 26-0 at home in Week 6 and now sit second in the NFC North. QB Aaron Rodgers made 29 of 37 passes for 358 yards with two TD passes and one interception; overall he’s thrown for 1,456 with eight TD passes and two interceptions. RB Ryan Grant had 24 carries for 90 yards, while WR Donald Driver made seven catches for 107 yards. WR James Jones and RB John Kuhn each added a TD. The Packers had too many penalties on the day as they made 13 mistakes which cost them 130 yards, this will not do against higher caliber teams.  The Packers will put their 10th ranked passing game up against the Browns 23rd ranked pass defense . Their 19th ranked running game should do well against the Browns 30th ranked rush defense. The Packers average an eighth ranked 26ppg, while their defense allows an ninth ranked 18.6ppg. The Pack average 26ppg and give up 18.6ppg, while they average 29.5ppg on the road and allow 23.5ppg. They are 3-2 ATS and 3-2 over/under.

The Browns (1-5) lost at Pittsburgh 14-27 in Week 6 and still sit dead last in the . QB Derek Anderson made a low nine of 24 passes for 122 yards with one TD and one interception; overall he’s thrown for 506 yards with two TD passes and six interceptions in four starts. RB Joshua Cribbs had six carries for 45 yards, while WR Mohamed Massaquoi made five catches for 83 yards. FB Lawrence Vickers was the lone receiver to catch for a TD. On defense, they don't have a pass-rusher or anyone who scares a game-planning offensive coordinator except perhaps nose tackle Shaun Rogers.  On offense the Browns are limp . They have a 31st ranked passing game and 18th ranked running game that probably won’t get to far against the Packers 16th ranked rush defense. The Browns average 11.5ppg and give up 24.7ppg, while averaging 20ppg at home and allow 28.5ppg. They are 3-3 ATS and 3-3 over/under.

Recent Trends to Consider:
  • Under is 5-2-1 in Browns last 8 games following a S.U. loss.
  • Over is 7-3-1 in Browns last 11 games as a home underdog of 3.5-10.0.
  • Under is 9-4 in Browns last 13 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
  • Packers are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game.
  • Packers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games as a road favorite.

  • Browns are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.

NFL Week 7 Predictions: The coming weekend of NFL action features several high profile match-ups, including tilts between the Falcons and Cowboys, Cardinals and Giants, Saints and Dolphins, and Vikings and Steelers. However, one of the most intriguing games involves two squads desperately trying to stay in the playoff chase as the Forty Niners and Texans battle it out at Reliant Stadium in Houston. For the latest odds on all NFL Week 7 Predictions visit Bookmaker.com today.

San Francisco 49ers vs Houston Texans (-3): The Texans really showed something in their road win at Cincinnati; however, NFL Week 7 Predictionsgiven their history and the lack of faith in the Bengals, Gary Kubiak's squad will likely have to show something for several weeks in a row before anyone believes they are a playoff team. Although, the Texans, sitting at 3-3, are not having to dig out of the usual early season hole that they have so often found themselves in. That could bode well for them with a suspect Jaguars (who they lost to 24-31 at home earlier this season) team and what has turned out to be a horrendous Titans squad sharing the AFC South with them. Houston's medicore start is also a boon considering they have two games with the Colts left on their schedule as well as meetings with Miami and New England.

The Forty Niners had people believing after their 3-1 start, but there are some definite question marks after their pre-bye embarassment at the hands of the Falcons. San Francisco's defense gave up 477 yards and 28 first downs to Atlanta while managing 279 and 13 of their own, respectively. Mike Singletary's bunch now has company at the top of the NFC West with the Cardinals showing some life and there are a number of teams that they could find themselves battling for a potential playoff spot (i.e. Dallas, Chicago, Philadelphia, Green Bay, Atlanta).

So, each of these two hopeful clubs needs a win against the other in order to keep things rolling. Unfortunatley for Niners fans, there are a few of trends that would indicate they might be in trouble this week. First, over the last five years teams playing as a road dog with a spread between 0 and 3 and coming off a bye are just 2-10-1 against the spread and 2-11 straight up. Second, over the last five years teams playing as a road dog and coming off a bye are 19-26-1 against the spread and 11-35 straight up. Finally, San Francisco is 1-7 against the spread and 0-8 straight up over the last five years playing as a road dog during the month of October.

Bookmaker.com NFL Week 7 Predictions:

San Francisco 49ers +3 (-105)
Houston Texans -3 (-115)

Minnesota Vikings +4
Pittsburgh Steelers -4

New Orleans Saints -6.5
Miami Dolphins +6.5

Atlanta Falcons +4
Dallas Cowboys -4

Arizona Cardinals +7
New York Giants -7

The Houston Texans play host to the banged up San Francisco 49ers, Sunday Oct 25, as the Texans look for revenge after losing their only meeting ever. Niners and NFL fans might get their first look at WR Michael Crabtree this weekend. NFL oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com have the Texans as -3 point home favs over the Niners with the over/under set at 44.5 points . Be sure to get your San Francisco 49ers vs Houston Texans NFL Week 7 Predictions in now at Sportsbook.com

The Niners (3-2) lost to Atlanta 10-45 at home in Week 5 and had a bye week last week. Against the Falcons, QB Shaun Hill made 15 of 38 passes for 198 yards with one interception; overall he’s thrown for 898 yards with five TD passes and two interceptions. QB Hill was also their top runner with four carries for 53 yards, while RB Glen Coffee had 12 carries for 45 yards with a TD. Their defense was nowhere to be found due mostly to injuries. Safety Michael Lewis sustained his third concussion of the season during their loss to Atlanta and was to have further testing during the off week. Linebacker Jeff Ulbrich, who suffered a concussion on the opening kickoff against St. Louis on Oct. 4, is scheduled to be seen by a neurologist on Wednesday. As for offense, RB’s Frank Gore and Glen Coffee are both listed as questionable for Sunday. Frank Gore leads the Niners with four TD’s and 241 yards rushing and is a crucial factor in the success of the Niners. During this bye week, Singletary said his task is to evaluate the 53-man roster to determine "whatever changes we need to make, we make them now . That's the most important thing." On a good offensive note WR Michael Crabtree could be in the lineup this weekend.  The Niners average 22.4ppg and give up 19.6ppg, while they average 22ppg on the road and allow 21.5ppg. They are 4-1 ATS and 2-3 over/under.

The Texans (3-3) won in Cincinnati 28-17 in Week 6 and sit third in the AFC South. QB Matt Schaub made 28 of 40 passes for 392 yards with four TD passes and an interception; overall he’s thrown for 1,810 yards with 14 TD passes and five interceptions. RB Chris Brown had nine carries for 45 yards, while RB Steve Slayton made six catches for 102 yards and a TD. WR Andre Johnson made eight catches for 135 yards, while TE Owen Daniels made seven catches for 78 yards with two TD’s. When Matt Schaub is on his game, the Texans produce.  The Texans will put their third ranked passing game up against the Niners 20th ranked pass defense . With a 30th ranked running game it’s not likely they’ll rush a lot against the Niners seventh ranked rush defense. The Texans average 23.8ppg and give up 22.8ppg, while averaging 20ppg at home and allow 20.3ppg. They are 3-3 ATS and 2-4 over/under. No major injuries to key players.

Recent Trends to Consider:
  • 49ers are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog of 0.5-3.0.
  • 49ers are 1-5-2 ATS in their last 8 games as a road underdog of 0.5-3.0.
  • Texans are 4-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
  • Texans are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
  • Texans are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
  • Texans are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall.
  • Under is 7-1 in Texans last 8 games following a ATS win.
  • Under is 6-1 in Texans last 7 games following a S.U. win.
