Mariners at Rangers MLB Odds, 2011 MLB Picks

by Reno Gold on Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

The Texas Rangers will try to wrap up their second sweep and remain undefeated on the young 2011 MLB season when they play game-3 of their series with the Seattle Mariners today (2:05 pm ET) at Rangers Ballpark. Both squads will be breaking out their big guns for this one with C.J. Wilson getting the call for Texas while 2010 Cy Young Award winner Felix Hernandez counters for Seattle.

Mariners at Rangers MLB Odds, 2011 MLB PicksToday's off shore daily MLB Lines Betting Board shows the Rangers as -115 ML favorites for this one in spite of facing possibly the best right-hander in the American League if not all of baseball while the Mariners are getting +105 odds with a run total of eight runs.Early betting trends show the public isn't buying it, with 58% of the action on Hernandez and the Mariners.

Hernandez got the season right for the Mariners in his April 1 debut by going the distance, only throwing 108 pitches, against the Oakland Athletics. The right-hander only gave up two runs on five hits. His only slip-up came in the first inning giving up a home run to the left field bleacher to Josh Willingham. After that, he cruised.

Wilson pitched ok in his 2011 April 1 debut at Rangers Park giving up six hits and four runs, only two earned, in 5 2/3 innings against the visiting Red Sox. The Rangers won the game 9-5 but Wilson was not credited with the decision.

I recommend for my daily MLB Picks you make a play on Hernandez and the Mariners in this one.
