The Mets improved their record on the new 2011 MLB season to 3-1 after topping the Phillies in the first game of their three game road set on Tuesday at Citizens Bank Park. The Phillies, also at 3-1, lost their first game of the season after sweeping the Astros in their opening home series. Philadelphia looks to bounce back with a win Wednesday (7:05 pm ET) when their series continues with Game-2. Joe Blanton makes his 2011 starting debut for the Phillies while the Mets counter with Mike Pelfrey.
