Seattle improved to 3-6 with last night's win, which was highlighted by a three run homer in the bottom of the eighth from beleaguered outfielder Milton Bradley. Bradley had two hits on the night while Chone Figgins and Jose Lopez each had three.
The Mariners Jason Vargas will take the ball this evening for Don Wakamatsu. The southpaw had a forgettable first start of the season as he gave up eight hits and five earned runs (five innings) in a 6-2 loss at Texas. Vargas has a 0.00 ERA in 4.2 innings pitched against Oakland.
