The Diamondbacks finished the night with eight hits and 10 strikeouts.
Los Angeles made the most of its opportunities, though, as Manny Ramirez, Andre Ethier, Matt Kemp and Casey Blake all went deep for manager Joe Torre in the win. Young lefty Clayton Kershaw held the Diamondbacks in check, giving up just three hits and two earned runs in 5.1 innings pitched.
Arizona has been abysmal at Dodger Stadium of late, going just 3-9 in their last 12 games there while losing by an average of 3.3 runs per game. Things might not get any easier tonight with Chad Billingsley on the hill for the home team. Billingsley, who is 1-0 this year with a 1.69 ERA, is 7-5 in 13 starts against the Diamondbacks with a 3.39 ERA.
Countering Billingsley will be veteran right-hander Rodrigo Lopez. Lopez won his first start of the season 9-1 against Pittsburgh after allowing just one earned run over six innings of work.
