The St. Louis Cardinals, fresh off their first series win of the season, are in Los Angeles tonight to begin a four game set with the Dodgers. First pitch in this evening's game one clash is scheduled for 10:10pm ET at Dodger Stadium. MLB Odds have Los Angeles listed as a -125 moneyline favorite; the game total is set at 6.5 with the Over drawing -115 odds.
St. Louis (5-7, fifth NL Central), after a rough 2-6 start, looks like it may be rounding into form after winning three of its
last four games. The Cardinals took their series finale against the Giants 6-1 on Sunday and they nabbed two out of three from the Diamondbacks with a whopping 15-5 victory last night.
St. Louis jumped all over Arizona's Ian Kennedy, slamming the USC product for seven hits and nine earned runs in the first three innings of yesterday's win. The Cardinals, which got a grand slam from Lance Berkman in the second inning, finished the night with 17 hits, giving them their second consecutive 15 plus hit ball game.
Los Angeles (6-6) retained their second place position in the National League West last night, but they fell three games back of the division leading Rockies after dropping their second straight game to the Giants.
The Dodgers fell 4-5 on Tuesday at San Francisco and they lost the series with their division rival after yesterday's 3-4 setback at AT&T Park. Last night's setback marked the club's third loss in its last four games.
The Cardinals Jaime Garcia will be charged with keeping the Cardinals recent hot streak alive as he takes the mound for Manager Tony LaRussa tonight. Garcia has been masterful in two starts, giving up just eight hits and one earned run in 15 innings of work. He will be countered by the Dodgers Hiroki Kuroda, who has also been dazzling in the early going, putting together a 2-0 record to go along with a 1.72 ERA and 0.89 WHIP.
St. Louis has won the last four in this series, but the Cardinals were swept by the Dodgers in L.A. last year after being outscored 17-7.

St. Louis Cardinals +1.5 (-210), Over 6.5 (-115), +105 (Moneyline)
