The Rangers got a 6-5 win over the White Sox in his last appearance; the Canadian gave up four hits and three earned runs in six innings pitched.
Oakland, while still 13-13 and just a half game back of the Rangers in the AL West standings, has been headed in the opposite direction of Texas recently. The Athletics have lost four of their last five games and they are coming off a 1-3 trip to Toronto that ended yesterday with a 9-3 loss. Ben Sheets got rocked by the Jays for 10 hits and nine earned runs in 3.1 innings pitched in the team's latest setback.
Dallas Braden will toe the rubber for Oakland tonight, looking to capture his fourth win of the young season. Braden is 3-1 in five starts with a 4.20 ERA. The Athletics lost his last outing 10-3 to the Rays after the Texas Tech product yielded eight hits and six earned runs in just four innings of work. The dismal effort was, by far, Braden's worst showing this season.
