The New York Yankees will try and win their fourth straight game on Tuesday as they open up a series against the Cleveland Indians. The Yankees swept the Mariners over the weekend, getting excellent starting pitching. New York's starting pitchers had a 2.00 ERA in the series against Seattle, giving up just four runs and two walks over 18 innings. It also helped on Sunday in the win over the Mariners that Derek Jeter went 4-for-5 and Hideki Matsui extended his hitting streak to 14 games. The Yankees scored 19 runs and batted .324 against Seattle in their series. SBG Global reports that early MLB betting has the public taking Yankees at Home.

They are 12-5 against Cleveland since 2006 including a four game split last month at Cleveland.
SBG Global Current Line: Yankees – 124, Total 9 Under -120
The Indians have had major trouble lately scoring runs. They have the second worst average in the American League. They were shut out on Sunday by Kansas City 2-0 on just four hits. "We're in the middle of evaluating everything," Indians manager Eric Wedge said. "We're looking at everything and we're going to do whatever we possibly can do to make whatever adjustments we need to make." The Indians have lost five of their last seven. They go with Fausto Carmona on Tuesday. Carmona is 3-1 with a 2.60 ERA this season. He gave up two runs, one earned in a 7-2 loss to Seattle in which he did not get a decision. Carmona is 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA in his career against the Yankees. One change that Cleveland has made is sending outfielder Jason Michaels down and calling up Ben Francisco. "This one transaction is not going to solve all our offensive woes," general manager Mark Shapiro said. "Jason Michaels was certainly not the primary cause. We just feel it's time for us, where we can, to start to make some small moves that might help. But the answers to our offensive issues lie within." Francisco batted .274 with three homers and 12 RBIs in 25 games last season. He won the International batting title in Buffalo last season. The Tribe could also be in the trade market to upgrade their offense. "The question is, if we make one trade, is it going to make us a better team right now?" Shapiro said. "The answer is no. It's not going to make us a better team unless we get three or four guys turned around. We need the players here to perform to our expectations and their expectations."
