Milwaukee Brewers vs St. Louis Cardinals MLB Picks at Sportsbook.com have the Cardinals listed as a slight -117 money line favorite in this evening's ball game. The game total is set at nine with both the over and under receiving -110 odds.

The Milwaukee Brewers have been one of the hottest teams in baseball since the season entered the month of May. The Brew Crew has gone 11-4 this month and in the process improved their record to a division leading 23-14. Milwaukee extended their current win streak to five games by beating St. Louis 8-2 at Busch yesterday.

Milwaukee had just seven hits in the win but got a three run homer from Prince Fielder in the seventh inning off of reliever Blaine Boyer to break things open. Starting pitcher Manny Parra did his part by holding the Cardinals in check for six innings, giving up five hits and two earned runs.

The Cardinals fell to 21-16 in the loss and are now in third place in the division after losing six of their last 10 games. Tony LaRussa's squad is two games behind Milwaukee and a half game back of the second place Cubs.

Former Cardinals starter Braden Looper will take the ball for the Brewers tonight. Looper was outstanding in his first four starts this year, but has been horrendous since. In his last three games, the 11 year veteran has given up 14 earned runs in 15.1 innings pitched. His recent struggles have left him with a 3-2 record and a 4.70 ERA.

The Cardinals will counter their old teammate with right hander Kyle Lohse. The 30 year old's season has somewhat mimicked Looper's year; he was brillant early on but has since faded dramatically. St. Louis is 0-3 in Lohse's last three starts, in which the California native has given up 20 hits and 13 earned runs in 16.1 innings pitched.
