Bush is 2-0 in seven starts this year; he has allowed 36 hits and 18 earned runs in 46 innings pitched. The Brewers are 5-0 in Bush's last five starts. The Pittsburgh native have walked five and struck 27 in those appearances. Houston, which has recovered from a rough start to work their record to a respectable 17-19, begins a six game home stand this evening. They have played their last five on the road, going 3-2 against the Rockies and Cubs. Despite their mild resurgence, the Astros are still six games behind Milwaukee in the NL Central standings. Mike Hampton will attempt to shut down a Brewers' offense that has averaged six runs per game during their six game win streak. The 36 year old does not appear to be a likely candidate to do that given that he is 2-3 in seven starts with a 5.31 ERA. Hampton has had an especially difficult time in his last three outings, giving up 19 hits and 13 earned runs in 15.2 innings pitched.
