Online bookmaker Sportsbook.com Colorado Rockies vs Atlanta Braves MLB Tips has the Braves listed as a -148 money line favorite in this evening's game. The Braves evened the four game series last night at 1-1 after scoring an 8-1 victory. Tonight's game three is scheduled to get underway at 7:00pm ET at Turner Field in Atlanta, Georgia. The Braves improved to 19-19 last night behind another brilliant outing from Jair Jurrjens. They are currently third in the National League East despite having an abysmal 7-11 record at home. Yesterday's series evening victory gave them their sixth win in their last 10 games and put them 2.5 games back of the first place Mets. Jair Jurrjens continued his solid season, giving up just three hits and one earned run in seven innings. However, the way the Braves hit the ball, Jurrjens could have been average and still got the win. Atlanta cranked out 13 hits in route to their eight runs. Casey Kotchman led the way for the offense as he went 3-for-5 with three RBI. Bobby Cox will look to get a 2-1 advantage tonight with veteran righty Javier Vazquez on the mound. Vazquez, who is tied with Johan Santana for the strikeout lead in the National League at 67, is 3-3 in eight starts with a 3.71 ERA. The Braves are 2-0 in his last two starts, in which he has allowed nine hits and four earned runs in 14.2 innings. Colorado, who won game one of the series 5-1, is in fourth place in the NL West with a 15-23 record. They are 11.5 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers. Taking the mound for the Rockies this evening is Jorge De La Rosa. De La Rosa has been a huge surprise this season, despite his 0-3 record. The 28 year old lefty has amassed 45 strikeouts and a 3.16 ERA in 42.2 innings pitched. Opponents are hitting a miserable .217 against him. The Rockies are 2-1 in Jorge's last three starts as he has given up 14 hits and six earned runs in 20 innings while striking out 25.
