Boston improved its record to 24-21 over the weekend with an impressive series win in Philadelphia. The Red Sox, however

Boston probably did not get a warm, fuzzy feeling after roughing up Roy Halladay yesterday either, as recent predcedent in its series with the Rays has done anything but favor the boys from Bean Town. Terry Francona's squad is a miserable 4-14 in its last 18 games at the Trop and they are 0-4 against Tampa Bay this season after getting swept by the Rays at home in mid-April.
The only thing that may have the Red Sox feeling a little confident is that fact that starting pitcher Clay Buchholz, who will take the mound for Boston tonight, has been lights out on the road this season. The 25 year old Texas native is 3-0 in three away starts with a 1.86 ERA. Buchholz somehow managed to achieve those numbers despite walking nine and striking out eight in his road outings.
Tampa Bay ran its record to a league best 32-12 after taking two out of three against the Astros over the weekend. A 10-6 Sunday win at Minute Maid Park gave the red hot Rays their 10th win in the last 12 games and brought their 2010 road record to an amazing 19-5.
The Rays will look to keep things rolling tonight with rookie right-hander Wade Davis on the hill. Davis is 4-3 in eight starts this year with a 3.35 ERA. The Lake Wales, Florida product has had more difficulty pitching at home, though, where he is 2-2 in four appearances with a 4.13 ERA.
Davis presided over a 3-1 victory at Boston earlier this season, going five innings while allowing just two hits and one earned run.
