The Cincinnati Reds are in Milwaukee tonight to begin a three game set with the Brewers. This evening's National League Central battle is scheduled to begin at 8:05pm ET at Miller Park. Cincinnati drew to within a half game of the second place Brewers after completing a sweep of the Houston Astros at Great American Ball Park. The Reds closed out a nine game home stand on Wedsnesday by extending their current win streak to four games. They are now 26-20 on the year and just a game and a half behind the first place Cardinals in the division standings. The Reds will begin a seven game road swing with 23 year old Johnny Cueto on the mound. Cueto has been outstanding in his second season, sporting a 4-2 record and a 2.37 ERA in nine starts. Cincinnati has won four of the last five games that Cueto has started, the latest being a 4-3 victory versus the Indians. The Dominican native allowed just six hits and two earned runs in seven innings of work. The Reds, who are 13-8 away from Great American Ball Park this season, have not lost any of Cueto's road starts this year, going a perfect 4-0 when he takes the hill in opposing stadiums. The Brewers have hit the skids of late, dropping two out of three at home to the Cardinals earlier this week. Milwaukee is now 27-20 on the year and a game back of St. Louis in the Central. The Brew Crew, who are 4-6 in their last 10 games, are 13-9 at Miller Park this season. Braden Looper will be charged with holding the red hot Reds in check tonight. The 11 year veteran is 4-3 in nine starts with a 4.47 ERA. Looper did not have a tremendous effort in his last outing, giving up nine hits and four earned runs in a 2-6 loss at Minnesota. Despite his recent struggles, Milwaukee is 4-1 in Looper's five starts at Miller Park.
