Indians at Blue Jays MLB Odds & Picks

by Reno Gold on Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

American League Central Division leaders Cleveland Indians need a win to ensure a a 3-3 road split from their six game tour through Tampa Bay and Toronto. The Blue Jays and Indians will play the rubber game of their three game series tonight at Rogers Centre in Toronto. Getting the start for the Blue Jays will be right-hander Kyle Drabek who is currently 3-3 on the season with a 4.16 ERA. Countering for the Indians is right-hander Josh Tomlin who's arm is a big reason the Indians are leading their divison. Tomlin will be looking for his seventh win versus Toronto.

Oddsmakers list Toronto as -112 MLB  Odds favorites on the offshore moneyline with a 9 1/2 total. Cleveland backers are getting +102 odds as moneyline underdogs.

Tomlin took his second loss of the season on Friday against the Rays, giving up four earned runs on 10 hits and no walks while striking out four in six innings.

Drabek got a quality start on Friday in spite of wildness when he issued five walks in 6 2/3 innings against the White Sox. The good news is he only gave up two earned runs, dropping his ERA to 4.16.

Bettors should take note of a few trends before making any wagers on this game. The Indians have struggled of late going 2-of5 in its last seven games and is 2-5 SU in its last seven games on the road. The Indians have enjoyed some success against the Blue Jays winning seven in their last nine and are 9-4 SU out of their last 13 at Toronto.

The Blue Jays have gone 4-1 of their last five games and the total has gone OVER in four of Toronto's last five games at home.

I like Cleveland's MLB Odds as dogs getting +102 for a SU win.
