Acquired off waivers in the offseason from Houston, Nieve made an impressive debut Saturday against the New York Yankees. He gave up four hits and two runs in 6 2-3 innings in a 6-2 win. The Mets are 18-11 at home where they average 4.76 runs for and 3.86 runs against.
