Jake Peavy got off to a rough start this year, but the Alabama native has recently sported the form that earned him the National League Cy Young in 2007. Peavy is 3-0 in his last three starts after giving up just 12 hits and two earned runs in 23 innings pitched (22 strikeouts). The 29 year old has also experienced great success against the Royals this season, going 2-0 in two starts with a 2.35 ERA.
Zack Greinke, like Peavy, has had his share fair share of troubles this year; however, his ERA is still a respectable 3.72. Greinke has been especially strong in his last three outings, allowing 18 hits and seven earned runs in 24 innings pitched for a 2.63 ERA. The Florida native struck out 23 in that stretch while walking just two.
