MLB Picks: The Reds and Phillies are set to get together this evening for game two of their four game set at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Cincinnati suffered an embarrassing 22-1 loss last night after the Phillies cranked out 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning. SBGglobal.com is looking for another Reds loss tonight as the Phillies are listed as a -145 moneyline favorite in the online bookmaker's MLB Picks: Reds vs Phillies MLB Betting Odds – July 7, 2009.MLB Picks: Reds vs Phillies MLB Betting Odds - July 7, 2009

The Phillies improved to 43-37 last night, destroying the Reds 22-1 to take game one of the series. They are now two games ahead of the Florida Marlins in the National League East standings and 4.5 games ahead of the third place Mets. The blowout win, which was the Phils fourth straight victory, brought Philadelphia's home record to 17-22 on the season.

Young southpaw J.A. Happ will look to keep the Phillies streak alive as he takes the mound at Citizens Bank Park tonight. Happ, who began the season in the bullpen, will be making his ninth start of the year. He has compiled a 3-0 record since moving to the regular rotation to go along with a 3.16 ERA. The Northwestern graduate has made three starts in Philadelphia this year, going 2-0 with a 4.77 ERA.

The Reds, which are 40-41 and in fourth place in the National League Central, will counter Happ with veteran hurler Aaron Harang. Harang is 5-8 in 17 appearances with a 3.86 ERA. This evening's start will mark his ninth road outing this year; he is 1-5 (Cincy is 2-6) in those games with a 4.94 ERA.

The 31 year old right-hander faced the Phillies back on May 20th, scoring a 5-1 win at Great American Ballpark. The San Diego State product worked seven innings in the victory, allowing just four hits and one earned run.

This evening's game is scheduled for a 7:05pm ET start at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA.

Game Note: The Reds are 8-16 versus the Phillies since the 2005 season.
