MLB Predictions: Los Angeles Dodgers vs San Francisco GiantsMLB Predictions Preview … The Los Angeles Dodgers are slowly showing signs as a contender in the NL West Division as they have climbed to the .500 mark and are within a game of the division leaders, Arizona Diamondbacks. Today Los Angeles starts a three-game set with their traditional and divisional rivals the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers send right hander Hiroki Kuroda to the mound.  The Dodgers rookie has a 3.98 ERA to go along with a 5-7 record this season. Kevin Correia will be the starting pitcher for the Giants. Righthander Correia is 1-5 this season with a 5.68 ERA.

MLB Predictions Betting Line …Online oddsmakers at sportsbook SBGglobal.com have the Dodgers listed as -200 money line favorites for this game with a 7 ½ point total. Giants backers are getting +170 money line juice as a road underdog.

Correia emerged with a no-decision from his last outing against Washington, although he blanked the Nationals for four innings. He yielded an unearned run in the fifth before crumbling in the sixth, when he allowed three runs. The one big inning has been Correia's undoing for much of the season. Still, he called this game one of his best of the year, particularly since it followed a 3 2/3-inning, seven-run effort at Chicago.

Kuroda had another wobbly beginning, following up his two-inning start in Arizona by allowing five runs over the first three innings at Coors Field. As bad as it sounds, he was victimized by some flukey hits and he stopped the damage there, finishing up with three scoreless innings. This start against the Giants should indicate which is the real Kuroda.

The Giants lost to Arizona 7-2 as a +125 underdog on Sunday. The nine runs scored went OVER the posted over/under total (8).

Fred Lewis was 4-5 for San Francisco, while Barry Zito surrendered six runs in five innings in the loss.

The Dodgers defeated Washington 2-0 as a -145 favorite on Sunday. The two runs scored fell UNDER the posted over/under total (8).

Clayton Kershaw pitched six shutout innings for the Dodgers, while James Loney hit a solo home run in the win.
