Dodgers at Giants MLB Odds & Picks: A battle in the National League West is heating up this weekend between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Giants are currently second in the division behind the San Diego Padres and looking to gain some ground to finish out the season on top. Meanwhile, the Dodgers are looking for wins against their in-state rivals, as they try to dig themselves out of a hole. BetUS.com lists the Giants as -175 series favorites with a 22 1/2 run three game total.
For Friday's game, the Giants are lined as -200 favorites on the BetUS moneyline with a seven run total. Dodgers backers are getting +170 odds. Lincecum is coming off an outing in which he held the D-backs to two runs in eight innings. The start before that, however, was a rough one against the Dodgers. Lincecum lasted only 4 2/3 innings, giving up five runs on seven hits and three walks. Monasterios is looking to build upon a strong outing last time out in which he shut out the Mets for five innings. The righty will be making his eighth start and 22nd appearance of the season. The Dodgers were edged 3-2 by the Padres at Petco Park in San Diego on Thursday, as +135 underdogs. That game's five runs went UNDER the posted six total set by BetUS. George Sherrill gave up the winning run in relief and was saddled with the Dodgers loss. The Giants were shut down Thursday 5-0 by the Marlins, as -160 favorites. The teams played UNDER the posted 7.5 total.Madison Bumgarner gave up six hits and three runs over six innings in a losing effort for the Giants. MLB Picks: Friday's pick is an easy one. Unless there is some unforseen breakdown by Lincecum, the Giants have the strongest edge from a pitching perspective. The bet is costly at -200 but should be worth it in the end.
