San Diego's lead was reduced to one game with the setback as the surging Giants won their fourth in a row with a 10-0 spanking of the Rockies in Colorado.
San Diego will look to keep San Francisco at bay with lefty Wade LeBlanc on the hill tonight. The Alabama product is 5-9 in 19 starts this season with a 3.49 ERA, but he has struggled some of late, posting a 4.88 ERA in his last four outings.
The Dodgers will hand the ball to 32 year old Vicente Padilla, who has amassed a 4-3 record in 12 starts this year. The Nicaragua native has allowed just 13 hits and three earned runs in his last four starts for a 1.08 ERA, but his pitching prowess has not tranlated to the win column as the Dodgers are 1-3 in those games.
