MLB Predictions …If any team in the American League has been a nemesis to the Minnestota Twins in 2008 it’s been the Toronto Blue Jays. With the Twins only trailing the Chicago White Sox by a half game in the AL Central standings, the Twins can look at Toronto as a team that’s stood in their way. Thursday, the Twins will try avoid a sweep to the Blue Jays with hopes of not losing any ground to Chicago. Kevin Slowey will be the starting pitcher for the Twins. Righthander Slowey is 11-8 this season with a 3.70 ERA. The Blue Jays will counter Slowey with Jesse Litsch. Righthander Litsch has a 3.96 ERA to go along with a 9-8 record this season.

On Thursday, Litsch turned in his 10th quality start of the season in a loss on the road to the Rays. The 23-year-old right-hander gave up three runs, two on a pair of solo home runs, on 10 hits with two strikeouts and no walks over 6 2/3 innings.
