Free MLB Picks - Marlins at Braves MLB Odds: The Atlanta Braves hold slim hopes of making the National League playoffs but must keep winning and hope NL Wild Card leader Colorado loses. As long as the Rockies win, the Braves have little hope - especially with five game left in the regular season and a three games deficit to Colorado in the wild card hunt. The projected Braves starter for Wednesday is ace righthander Javier Vazquez, who is 15-9 with a 2.83 ERA. The Marlins, looking to play spoiler, will counter will Ricky Nolasco. The Marlins righthander currently owns a 12-9 record with a 5.28 ERA.

MLB picks oddsmakers at BetUS.com lists Atlanta as -200 moneyline favorite versus Florida with a 7 1/2 total. Marlins backers are getting +170 moneyline odds.

Vazquez is coming off a dominating performance against the Nationals last Friday night. He threw a three-hitter in a complete-game victory over Washington. Vazquez now has won four straight games and continues to be one of the National League's most solid performers. The Braves need this from him to keep up any hopes of pulling out the Wild Card berth.

Nolasco held the Mets to three runs on four hits over seven innings while striking out seven. Despite the solid performance, Nolasco's outing did not get off to a good start. In the second inning, the Mets strung together three hits, the last being a Jeff Francoeur three-run homer, but the right-hander was able to hold New York to just one hit over his final five innings.

Cameron Maybin was 2-for-4 with a two-run jack to lead the Marlins over the Braves 5-4 on Tuesday night.Florida cashed as +105 road underdogs, while the teams played OVER the 8-run total listed by sportsbooks. Dan Uggla went 2-for-3 with a run batted in for the Marlins, as Renyel Pinto got the win in relief of starter Josh Johnson for Florida.

Matt Diaz smoked a three-run dinger for Atlanta, while Kenshin Kawakami was handed the loss after coming into the game for Braves starter Tim Hudson.

Free MLB Picks: Can a desperate team produce? The Braves are desperate for a win and have a good pitcher going tonight. Take Atlanta in this one (-200 ML).
