Chicago White Sox vs Tampa Bay Rays ALDS Game 2 PredictionsChicago White Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays ALDS Game-2 Predictions Preview…The American League eastern division champions Tampa Bay Rays enabled backers to cash-in after winning the first playoff game in franchise history over the wild card winners Chicago White Sox on Thursday. With the 6-4 win in Game-1 of ALDS, the Rays covered SU as a 180-money line favorite and on the run line. The 10 runs scored made it OVER the posted 8 ½ -total.

Tampa Bay will be gunning for its second win in as many days when they play the Chicago White Sox in Game-2 of the best-of-five games divisional series. In looking to get it done, the Rays will go with starting ace pitcher Scott Kazmir. The lefthander is 12-8 with a 3.49 ERA so far this season. The White Sox will go with their own ace in lefty Mark Buehrle. Also a lefthander, Buehrle is 15-12 this season with a 3.79 ERA.

Oddsmakers at online sports book Bodog (Bodoglife.com) currently have the Rays listed as 162-moneyline favorites versus the White Sox, while the game's total is sitting at 8½.

Kazmir lost his last start against the Tigers Sept. 25 when he allowed four home runs in five innings. The 24-year-old left-hander has struggled with his mechanics all season and has worked all season with little luck to gain command of his slider, which has historically been his best pitch. Without his slider, Kazmir has relied primarily on a fastball-changeup combination. Kazmir is 8-2 with a 2.90 ERA in 14 starts at Tropicana Field this season.

With a 4-9 record and 5.05 ERA on the road, compared to his 11-3 mark and 2.65 ERA at home, Buehrle might have been held back to Game 3 if not for Floyd and Danks being unable to work on such short rest. Pitching on Friday also would set up Buehrle to come back for a potential Game 5 on regular rest. Buehrle has a 0-1 record in three starts this season against Tampa Bay and carries a 5.54 ERA over two starts at Tropicana Field. Carlos Pena has five hits in 10 at-bats against Buehrle, and Pena is expected to play on Friday.

Evan Longoria belted two home runs in leading the Rays to a 6-4 win over the White Sox in Thursday's series opener.

Longoria finished 3-for-3 with three RBIs for the Rays, and Akinori Iwamura had two hits with one run batted in. James Shields tossed 6 1-3 innings for the win, and Dan Wheeler closed out the ninth for the save.

Dewayne Wise cracked a three-run homer in a losing effort for the White Sox, who were +165 underdogs. Javier Vazquez was rocked for six runs off eight hits over 4 1-3 innings of work.

Todays ALDS Game 2 Prediction...Kazmir will take the Rays to a 2-0 ALDS record. (Rays -162)
