The Phillies lived to fight another day after getting an 8-6 win on Monday night at Citizens Bank Park. Second baseman Chase Utley produced most of the offensive fireworks, going 2-for-3 with two home runs and four RBI. Utley cranked a three run bomb off of Yankees starter A.J. Burnett in the bottom of the first to give Philadelphia a 3-1 lead and he also hit a solo job in the seventh off of reliever Phil Coke. Phillies starter Cliff Lee had his worst outing of the post-season, going seven innings, giving up seven hits and five earned runs. However, he held New York's potent line up in check for six innings, allowing the Phillies to build a substantial 8-2 lead.

Pedro Martinez will make his third start of the post-season tonight, and, despite his solid performance thus far, Philly is 0-2 in his previous outings. Martinez last pitched in Game 2, which the Yankees won 3-1. The 38 year old veteran worked six innings in the loss, giving up six hits and three earned runs while walking two and striking out eight. He also gave up two home runs as Mark Teixeira and Hideki Matsui both went yard off of the Dominican native.

Andy Pettitte will take the hill for the fifth time in these playoffs; he is 3-0 (NYY 3-1) in his previous four starts, including an 8-5 Game 3 victory. Pettitte did not have his best stuff in that game, but he did enough to preserve the key win. The 37 year old southpaw gave up five hits and four earned runs over six innings as he also relinquished two homers, both coming off the bat of Jayson Werth.
