A good pitchers’ duel is on tap for Monday night in Los Angeles as the Dodgers take on the Astros. Los Angeles goes with Chad Billingsley who is 7-3 with an ERA of 3.34 while Houston sends their ace, Roy Oswalt to the mound. Oswalt is 12-6 with a 3.42 ERA. Oswalt has been even better in his last four outings with an ERA of 0.72. reports that early betting has the public taking the favored Dodgers at home.

Los Angeles has had trouble scoring runs of late, especially on their latest road trip where they went 2-4. Los Angeles has lost eight of its last 10 and has scored more than two runs in just two of those games. The Dodgers are now in fourth place in the division and may have to make some changes before they fall totally out of the race.
"We're just trying to shake it up to get these guys going, because right now there are too many people in our lineup who are underachieving," manager Grady Little said. "Something needs to be done, because this isn't good enough."
It won’t be easy tonight against Oswalt who is coming off another solid performance. He allowed just six hits in six scoreless innings in an 8-2 win over the Cubs on Wednesday. Oswalt is 3-3 with a 4.70 ERA in five starts and one relief appearance against the Dodgers. He has not faced the Dodgers since 2005.
Chad Billingsley has been a victim of the Dodgers’ rotten offense. He has lost his last three starts, although he's allowed just one run in each of his last two games. He gave up six hits and walked four in five innings of a 1-0 loss at Cincinnati on Wednesday. On July 23 Billingsley had a complete game against Houston in a 10-2 victory that was nearly a shutout until a late two- run home run broke it up.
