NBA Picks: Washington Wizards at Golden State Warriors

by Alexander Banks on Monday, February 11th, 2008

The Golden State Warriors will try and stay hot as they host the Washington Wizards on Monday.  Golden State has won 10 of their last 14 games including a 105-102 win over Sacramento on Saturday.  Monta Ellis led the Warriors with 34 points in the win.  Ellis has averaged 26.7 points in his last three games. "It was great to see him pick up the scoring and energy we needed," said Warriors point guard Baron Davis, "That's why we won. He took the game over and made the defensive and energy plays we needed." SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Warriors at Home.

NBA Betting Preview
Washington Wizards (24-26) at Golden State Warriors (30-20)
Monday, 10:35 pm Eastern – NBA-TV

SBG Global Opening Line: Warriors  - 8.5 , Total 213

Ellis had 24 points in the last home game against Washington, a 135-128 win last year.  Earlier this season at Washington he had 11 points in a 123-115 win.  Davis had 33 points in that game.

The Wizards have struggled mightily of late, mainly due to injuries.  Washington has lost 7 in a row and they are 0-2 on their four game road trip.

They lost last night 108-107 at Phoenix.  Missing Caron Butler is really hurting the Wizards.  He has been out for six of the last eight games.  Washington might get back guard Antonio Daniels for tonight’s game.  He is averaging 8.7 points and 5 assists per game as he fills in for the injured Gilbert Arenas.  Washington will again have to rely upon Antawn Jamison who had 28 points on Sunday and has scored 42 points in his last two games against Washington.

SBG Global Current Line: Warriors  - 10 , Total 213
