Houston, at 27-24, is currently in third place in the Southwest Division and trailing the first place Mavericks by 4.5 games. The Rockets are ninth in the Western Conference standings, sitting two games back of the Trailblazers for the final playoff spot.
The Rockets, which have won just two of their last seven homes games, are 3-0 in their last three meetings with the Jazz at the Toyota Center.
