The Boston Celtics are just one half-game ahead of Orlando for second place in the Eastern Conference, while the Heat sit in fifth place just three games back of Atlanta for home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. The Heat recently lost to the 76ers 77-85 on the road. Their top scorers on the night were Jermaine O’Neal with 20pts, while Dwayne Wade added 18pts and Udonis Haslem pulled down 11 rebounds. Wade averaged 43.3pts on 53.8 percent shooting and also had 6.7 rebounds, 9.3 assists and 4.0 steals to lead Miami during last week's three game win streak.  The Heat are 12-19 SU on the road where they average 95.7 ppg and give up an average 100 ppg. They are 1-4 SU in their last five road games where they’ve averaged 91.2 ppg and given up an average 99.8 ppg. The Heat had six players score in double figures in their 107-99 home win over Boston last Wednesday. Wade led Miami with 32pts and sealed the victory with a 3-pointer with 34 seconds left.

The Celtics recently lost to the Bulls 121-127 on the road. Their top producers on the night were Paul Pierce with 37pts 7 rebounds, while Rajon Rondo added 26pts 10 assists and Kendrick Perkins chipped in with 14pts 10 rebounds. The Celtics looked particularly sluggish defensively against the Bulls. It was the highest point total allowed by Boston since the team acquired Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett before last season. Garnetts replacement, Leon Powe, was injured and is being evaluated, he’s listed as questionable. Boston has lost four of five to fall to 9-9 SU since its 12-game winning streak from Jan. 11-Feb. 3. The Celtics are 27-6 SU at home where they average 104.3 ppg and give up an average 93.7 ppg. They are 3-2 SU in their last five home games where they’ve averaged 97 ppg and given up an average 95.2 ppg. The Celtics last game against the Heat, Allen had 27pts and Powe added 23pts with 13 rebounds in that game. Paul Pierce, the only fully healthy member of Boston's "Big Three," added 16pts on 5-for-10 shooting.
