After two days of rest, the Hawks will look to go up 2-0 on Tuesday (7 p.m. Eastern) while the Bucks will look for a split at Philips Arena.
NBA Playoffs oddsmakers at online super-sportsbook Bodog.com list the Hawks as 7 1/2-chalk favorites versus the Bucks with a 187 total. Bucks backers are getting +290 odds on the Bodog moneyline while Atlanta is giving -380.
The Hawks built a huge lead in Game 1 only to see it cut to single digits before pulling out at 102-92 victory in front of the home crowd. There is no doubt, the Bucks will put forth a great effort Tuesday with hopes of leaving Philips Arena with an Atlanta split.
With Andrew Bogut out of the way for the Bucks, Atlanta should show no mercy and pound the ball inside to Al Horford and of course let Joe Johnson do his thing. The Hawks will make a few adjustments and try to take advantage of the short handed Bucks.
Milwaukee's Brandon Jennings virtutally went unguarded and it showed as he scored, a rookie record, 34 points. At one point the rookie had 19 of the Bucks' 39 points. Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Brandon Jennings netted a game-high 34 points for the Bucks in a losing cause. The Hawks covered the 8 1/2-point spread, and the combined score made it OVER the posted total of 186 1/2.
