Heat at Celtics Game 2 2010 NBA Playoffs Odds & Predictions: The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat continue NBA Playoffs second round play Tuesday (8 p.m. ET). Boston won a heated 85-76 battle in Game 1 on Saturday but lost forward Kevin Garnett to suspension for Game 2. The one game suspension was imposed on Garnett by the league on Sunday for throwing an elbow to the head of Miami's Quentin Richardson with 40 -seconds left in the game Saturday night.
Celtics coach Doc Rivers didn't want to say who he would put on the floor in Game 2 in place of Garnett but Rivers is expected to go with Glen"Baby"Davis. Rasheed Wallace is another option for Rivers. Davis averaged 15.8 points a night, blossoming in last-year's playoffs with Garnett out because of a season-ending knee injury.
The Heat hasn't exactly been all that successful against the Celtics with or without Garnett. Miami has lost 12 of its past 13 games to the Celtics, including two when Garnett wasn't in the lineup. Back on January 6, with Garnett missing from a knee injury, Rivers went with Wallace that night and all Boston starters scored in double figures.
With Garnett out, the Celtics will find a way to succeed without him. Gamblers should take Boston -1 ATS. History dictates the Celtics will win.
