Grizzlies vs Spurs Game 2 Odds 2011 NBA Playoff Picks

by Matt Foust on Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

The Grizzlies will attempt to earn their second ever playoff victory tonight as they battle the top seeded Spurs in a game two clash in San Antonio. This evening's postseason contest is scheduled to tip off at 8:30pm ET at the AT&T Center; it will be broadcast live on NBA TV. The latest NBA Point Spreads have San Antonio listed as a -8.5 NBA Playoff Picks favorite and the Over/Under set at 196.

Memphis stunned the Spurs on Sunday night with a 101-98 game one upset at the AT&T Center. The win, which representedGrizzlies vs Spurs Game 2 Odds 2011 NBA Playoff Picks the Grizzlies first ever playoff victory, featured five Memphis players in double figures, including front court powers Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol.

Randolph and Gasol combined for 49 points (19-for-25), 23 boards, and four blocked shots while point guard Mike Conley produced a 15 point, 10 assist double-double.

Memphis, which posted a 16-25 road record in the regular season, also dominated the defensive end of the floor, limiting the Spurs to 40 percent field goal shooting in their own arena.

San Antonio, which got 16 points and 13 rebounds from Tim Duncan, clearly missed the presence of Manu Ginobili, who did not play due to an elbow injury suffered in the team's regular season finale. Ginobili's status for tonight's game is still up in the air with a decision probably coming shortly before tip off.

If Ginobili cannot play, San Antonio may be in danger of dropping a fourth consecutive game to the Grizzlies. The Spurs have lost three straight to Memphis, but they were not at full capacity in any of those games. Tony Parker did not play in a 109-93 loss on March 1st, Tim Duncan missed a 111-104 setback on March 27th, and Ginobili sat out Sunday's game one upset.

Parker, for one, is not sweating the loss, citing the fact that, "it's not the first time we lost Game 1"; however, if Ginobili, who the Grizzlies' Randolph calls "the Spurs' best player", sits and San Antonio drops to 0-2, Parker, along with his teammates, may start to feel a little anxious.
