NBA Playoff Prediction: Utah Jazz vs Houston Rockets The playoff troubles continue for the Houston Rockets after dropping 0-2, in the best of seven, to the Utah Jazz and tonight’s game, in Utah, isn’t looking any better for them. They’re up against a Utah team that finished with the best record at home. Oddsmakers at BetUS.com have the Jazz as 9-point favs over the Rockets with the over/under listed at 183. The Jazz could win the series in the next two games without having to leave Utah. They finished the regular season with a home record of 37-4 SU while the Rockets finished 24-17 SU. The Jazz are clearly the favs to move on. They met in last year’s playoffs with Houston winning the first two at home, then bouncing back and forth until it came down to a Game 7 decision, which saw the Jazz move forward. Their game plan is simple, stop McGrady. McGrady has averaged 21pts and 9 rebounds in the two games and was one assist away from a triple-double in Game 2, but he’s been held to just one point in the fourth quarter this series. Carlos Boozer is averaging 16 PPG, 5 APG and 11 RPG during the first two games and Deron Williams is averaging 21 PPG, 15 APG and his shooting from the 3-point line is at 67%.

The Rockets have a little good news for tonight’s game, Rafer Alston may be back in the lineup tonight. He’s been out since April 22nd with a pulled hamstring. During the regular season he was averaging 13 PPG, 5 APG and 3 RPG. The Rockets need a full game out of McGrady, who hasn’t been able to score more than one point in the fourth quarter. They are capable of beating the Jazz at home, something they did on Nov 1 during the Jazz home opener. McGrady scored 47pts while leading Houston to a 106-95 win. The Rockets have to bring their A game on defense against the Jazz who are ranked 5th with 106 PPG, THE Rockets allow an average 94 PPG on the road. They are 3-2 SU in their last five on the road, but lost their last two regular season games to Utah and Denver.

PICK: Utah -9

The Bottom Line:
How could you not go for the Jazz who have lost only four games on home court? Tracy McGrady is their top producer, you stick on him like glue and he won’t be able to produce. Get your NBA Playoff Prediction in now at BetUS.com - where players play!
