Oddsmakers at online sports wagering power-house Bodoglife.com currently have the Pistons listed as 5-point favorites versus the 76ers, while the game's total is holding at 180. Money line odds are currently off the board. The Pistons avenged a game-one loss with Wednesday's convincing 105-88 victory over the 76ers. The Pistons covered the 10.5-point spread, and the 193 points made it OVER the posted total of 179. Rip Hamilton led all scorers on Wednesday night with 20 points, on 9-of-16 shooting, while collecting seven rebounds and a game-high seven assists. The Pistons won their first game of the series with emphasis, as five players went on to notch double figures. Rasheed Wallace, Tayshaun Prince and Antonio McDyess all chipped in with 16 points apiece. McDyess added to his scoring production with a game-high 12 rebounds. McDyess and Evans are the only players to record a double-double in Game 2 between both teams. Prince added four rebounds and three assists and Wallace tallied seven rebounds, two steals and a game-high three blocks. Wallace went 6-for-10 from the field, 2-for-4 from beyond the arc and 2-for-2 from the charity stripe. Pistons rookie, Rodney Stuckey, chipped in with 12 points off the bench, on 5-of-6 shooting. The Pistons out rebounded the Sixers in Game 2, 42-34, marking the first time in six match-ups this season that Detroit accomplished the feat. The Pistons shot 54.9 percent from the floor, while distributing 26 assists. The 76ers left Detroit with a 1-1 record to start off their first round playoff series. The Sixers return home for Game 3, so a second victory will have to wait until Friday night in Philadelphia. Lou Williams led five Sixers scorers in double figures with 17 points, which also marked a game-high for all reserves in the contest, while also dishing out two assists. Williams was nearly perfect from the charity stripe, connecting on 9-of-10 shots in over 22 minutes of play. PICK: I expect the Pistons to take back their game one home loss by dominating the Sixers in game 3. |
