2009 NBA Playoffs: Los Angeles Lakers vs Utah Jazz Game 4 at BetUS.com have the visiting Lakers listed as a -4.5 against the spread favorite.

Los Angeles lost its shooting touch on Thursday night in Utah and fell 86-88 to the Jazz as a result. The loss was the Lakers fourth in their last six road games and it dropped their season record to 4-2 against the Jazz. They still have a 2-1 lead in the series, but they will need a better effort from Kobe Bryant this evening if they want to avoid heading back to the STAPLES Center in a 2-2 tie.

The Lakers, who had shot a combined 57.8 percent from the field in games one and two, managed to hit on just 36.8 percent of their field goal attempts the other night. They kept the effort uniform from beyond the arc and at the charity stripe as well, connecting on 35.3 percent and 61.5 percent respectively. Bryant was a chief offender in the brick laying brigade as he hit just five of his 24 shot attempts to finish with 18 points.

The Jazz outrebounded the Lakers 55 to 40 and dished out eight more assists in the narrow win. Utah point guard Deron Williams, who is averaging 21.3 points and 11.6 assists in the series, hit the go-ahead bucket with 2.2 seconds left in regulation. Aiding Williams in the surprising defeat was Carlos Boozer. The former Duke Blue Devil had 23 points and controlled the glass by garnering 22 rebounds.

Utah, who is 2-0 versus Los Angeles this year at EnergySolutions Arena, is averaging 105 points per game at home where they are now 34-8 on the season. The Jazz had won just two of their last nine games entering their playoff series with the Lakers.

Los Angeles is 29-13 on the road this year, counting Thursday night's loss. They posted an average of 105.9 points per game in regular season road play, but they are hitting for a miserable 97.5 in their two battles at EnergySolutions Arena. However, they are averaging 115.7 overall in their six games with the Jazz.
