The Magic’s Dwight Howard was suspended one game by the NBA on Wednesday for his elbow on Sixers center Samuel Dalembert in Orlando's Game 5 victory. The two tangled going for a rebound in the first quarter and Howard whacked Dalembert on the left side of the face. Howard drew a technical foul for the hit. Howard said in a statement on Wednesday he was disappointed, but respected, the league's decision. "I have complete faith in my teammates that they will come out and get the job done tomorrow night," he said. Dwight is their top scorer averaging 24 ppg and 15 rebounds a game. Orlando likely will start Marcin Gortat in place of Howard, and Courtney Lee will be replaced by J.J. Redick after Lee took an inadvertent elbow from Howard. Lee averaged 12.6 ppg in the playoffs. Without Howard and Lee they’ll have to stop the Sixers from driving the lane.

The Sixers realize Howard and Lee's absence gives them a fantastic opportunity to force a Game 7 and take their chances in Orlando, where they won Game 1. "Regardless who's out there, we've got to go out there and win," Sixers guard Andre Iguodala said. Iguodala is averaging 21.8 ppg while Andre Miller is close behind with 20.8 ppg in these playoffs. During their Game 1 win the Sixers made 41 of 80 (51.2%) from the field, 7 of 12 (58.3%) from the arch and 11 of 20 (55%) from the line. During Game 5’s loss they made 29 of 68 (42.6%) from the field, 4 of 18 (22.2%) from the arch and 16 of 20 (80%) at the line. If they want to win they must force more fouls, hit their free throws and not take too many three pointers.
