The Bobcats posted a ridiculous 85.5 points per contest on 44 percent field goal shooting.
Dwight Howard had a miserable offensive series for Orlando, averaging just 9.8 points per game; however, Jameer Nelson picked up the slack by boosting his scoring average up to 23.8 for the series. Nelson also averaged 4.5 assists and 2.8 rebounds in the four game set.
Atlanta, which finished six games back of the Magic in the regular season division standings, needed seven games to get past the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round. The Hawks even trailed 2-3 at one point in the series but rallied to beat the Bucks in the final two games, holding Milwaukee to an average of 80 points per game to close out the playoff.
Joe Johnson led the Hawks in the series, almost equaling his season scoring average with a 20.9 point per game series average. Jamal Crawford, who disappeared in the first few games against Milwaukee, reemerged in the final two contests to score 46 points.
Orlando won the season series with the Hawks 3-1, but they lost the fourth and final regular season meeting 84-86 in Atlanta.
