The Chicago Bulls will look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead tonight as they face the Hawks in a game four showdown at the Philips Arena. This evening's critical contest is scheduled to tip off at 8:00pm ET on TNT. Chicago looked out of sorts and a little sluggish in its game one 95-103 loss at home to Atlanta, but the Bulls were hitting
on all cylinders in games two and three, outscoring the Hawks 185 to 155.
The Bulls game three route marked their second most impressive performance of the postseason as they drubbed the Hawks 99-82 on the strength of 44 points from league MVP Derrick Rose.
Rose, who was one of just two Chicago players (Luol Deng) to reach double figures in shot attempts, buried 16-of-27 from the field and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc in the route. Bench players Kyle Korver and Taj Gibson added 11 and 13 points respectively while Gibson and Joakim Noah combined for 26 of the team's 47 rebounds.
Atlanta, which has lost four of its last five meetings with Chicago, saw all five starters score in double figures, but its bench managed only 14 points for the game. Jeff Teague led all Hawks with 21 points, but Josh Smith turned in the most impressive line for Head Coach Larry Drew, finishing the game with 17 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots.
Prior to Friday's win, Chicago had won just one of its previous seven games at the Philips Arena.
