The Nuggets came back from one point down after a last second 3-pointer by Anthony Wright found the hoop. The League admitted that its refs blew the call at the end of the game on Saturday night, which allowed the Nuggets to sink the 3-pointer. League vice president Joel Litvin “At the end of the Dallas-Denver game this evening, the officials missed an intentional foul committed by Antoine Wright on Carmelo Anthony”. Chauncey Billups replied, “People fail to realize that you still have to make a tough shot. It was an unbelievable shot that Melo hit. So no matter what happens, that was an unbelievable shot." The Nuggets top scorers last game was Chauncey Billups with 32pts, while Carmelo Anthony added 31pts. They are 2-1 on the road in their last three playoff games where they’ve averaged 106.6 ppg and given up an average 87.6 ppg. The Nuggets look for their first Conference final appearance since 1985.
The Mavericks are in deep trouble as NO NBA team has rebounded from a 3-0 deficit. The Mavs got pounded in Game 1 by 14pts, Game 2 they lost by 12, and in Game 3 they lost by one point. Knowing that Dallas has gotten closer each game should help keep Denver players from taking anything for granted. But on a bad note, The Nuggets are the only team to beat the Mavs twice, at home, since mid-February. Their top producers in Game 3 were Dirk Nowitzki with 33pts 16 rebounds, while Josh Howard had 14pts. Howard might be suspended for tonight’s game after a scuffle at the end of the game. Antoine Wright and Erick Dampier had an off night after combining for a low 10pts. It's worth noting that Dallas has never been swept in a four-game series. And, this season, the Mavs have bounced back every time they've been counted out. "These guys have met adversity with unity, with a collective will," Carlisle said. "It happened in November; we got off to a 2-7 start. It happened in January; we lost four games in a row and everybody said we wouldn't be a playoff team. It happened after we lost to Oklahoma City … and it's obviously going to happen now. But, hey, that's what this is about. When it gets tough, you've got to stick together and keep fighting."
