Cavaliers at Celtics Game 6 NBA Playoffs East Semifinals Odds & Predictions: Closing out an opponent in the NBA Playoffs isn't anything new for the Boston Celtics. They've been winning titles for years, but 2010 is a little different. Boston was not the favorite coming in. The favorites tag belonged to their Eastern Conference semifinals opponents, the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Celtics, who own a 3-2 lead in the best of seven conference semifinals can advance with a win tonight (8 pm Eastern). If Cleveland wins, the series will resume back in Ohio on Saturday.
LeBron James and the Cavaliers had no answer for the Celtics in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference semifinal on home court. Ray Allen drained 25 points, as the Celtics ripped the Cavaliers 120-88 Tuesday night. Boston cashed as 7-point road underdogs, while the game played OVER the 194-point total set by oddsmakers.
Paul Pierce went for 21 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists for the Celtics, who got 18 points and six boards from Kevin Garnett in the upset. Shaquille O'Neal had 21 points and four blocks for Cleveland, which now trails 3-2 in the best-of-seven series.
It was predicted here (Point-Spreads.com) on Tuesday, the Celtics would get into the Cavaliers heads once the series was even at 2-2. Our predictions were correct as Boston went on to demolish the Cavaliers – on the road – by 32 points. Tonight, the Cavaliers really have their backs agaist the wall so it will be interesting to see how they respond. I like the Celtics chances in this one. My money is on Boston -1 1/2.
