They are 9-2 SU throughout the playoff, only losing back to back to Utah on the road. They swept Denver in the first round and then they took Utah to six games before they got through to the next round against San Antonio. They are winning at home and on the road, which is key to winning in the playoffs. If you can take a game or two away from the home team it just increases your chances of advancing. The Boston Celtics are second in line to win the NBA Championship. It’s mostly their defense that’s getting them the wins along with their perfect 9-0 home record. What’s not good is their poor road record of 0-6, technically with home court advantage throughout the playoffs they could win the Championship without ever winning on the road, but this feat has never been done. They can also lock it down with the best of the NBA, they have the second best defense in the league. Their downfall may be that they get tired the further they advance, they’ve made the Eastern Conference five yearts straight. They are 8-4 throughout the playoffs. They have a very experienced core of veterans who have all won Championships in the past and who all have proven big game experience. They are also one of the top defensive teams, limiting opponents to just over 90 points per game. When the playoffs start and the games get tight, the Spurs are at their best as Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli and Tony Parker have the ability to control a game by dictating the pace.
