The Lakers shot a respectable 49.5 percent for the game; however, they hit only 9-of-32 from downtown and 7-of-13 from the free throw line. Kobe Bryant turned in another terrific performance, scoring 38 points while grabbing seven rebounds and dishing out 10 assists, but, again, it proved too little.
While Phoenix has wrestled the momentum away from Los Angeles, it is again faced with the task of beating the Lakers at the STAPLES Center. That has proven problematic for the Suns as they have dropped six straight in L.A. by an average of 17.2 points per game. The Lakers are averaging a mind-numbing 121.3 points per game in that stretch.
