NBA Picks at online bookmaker SBGglobal.com have the Lakers listed as a -300 odds moneyline favorite in tonight's Magic vs Lakers Game 2 NBA Finals Odds. Tip off for this evening's game is scheduled for 8:00pm ET at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. The Magic vs Lakers Game 2 NBA Finals will be broadcast live on ABC with Los Angeles listed as a 6.5 point favorite. Heading into the NBA Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers handed the Orlando Magic their second Game 1 loss of the Playoffs on Thursday night, beating Stan Van Gundy's squad 100-75 in front of a capacity crowd at the STAPLES Center. The game was close for most of the first two quarters but the Lakers took the momentum they built in the second quarter and used it to bury the Magic in the third. Los Angeles outscored Orlando a combined 60-34 in the two decisive periods. The Magic simply could not find the basket in producing their lowest point total of the post-season. They shot a horrific 29.9 percent from the field, which they actually bested from beyond the arc, connecting on 34.8 percent of their three point attempts. Only three players managed to hit double figures in scoring, and shooting guard Mickael Pietrus led all Orlando scorers with 14 points. Dwight Howard had a solid game, producing 12 points, 15 rebounds, and two blocks, but he was the only thing going for the Magic down low. The Lakers controlled the paint, grabbing 55 rebounds to the Magic's 41 and they also had five more offensive boards than did Orlando. Four Lakers had eight or more rebounds for the game, led by Lamar Odom's 14. Offensively, Los Angeles hit 46.1 percent of their field goal attempts and 83.3 percent of their free throws (15-of-18). Kobe Bryant had his way against the Magic defense, producing a game high 40 points to go along with eight assists. On the defensive end Bryant was a heavy contributor as well with seven defensive rebounds, two blocks, and two steals. Tonight's game looms large for Orlando, but it may be even more important for the Lakers. The last thing LA wants to do is head to Florida for Games 3, 4, and 5 with the series knotted up at a game apiece. Especially considering the fact that the Magic have lost back-to-back games just one time in the Playoffs and just four times during the regular season.
