NBA Picks - Suns at Hornets: The Phoenix Suns are the surprising team in the early going of the 2009/10 NBA season having gone 10-2 in the first three weeks of the season. Tonight (8 pm ET) the Suns take to the road to play in a TNT prime-time televised game against the New Orleans Hornets who have been a disappointment at 4-8.
As if New Orleans doesn't have enough problems, point guard Chris Paul is dealing with a sprained ankle, and he is out indefinitely. So far this season, the Hornets have covered just three of 11 pointspreads. Phoenix has covered the spread in seven of 12 games and is 5-2 ATS while on the road. The betting total has split 6-6 over/under. Phoenix improved to 10-2 on the season following Tuesday's 111-105 victory over the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center. Amare Stoudemire scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Jason Richardson pumped in 20 points with five boards for the Pacific Division-leading Suns, who have won six of their last seven games. NBA Picks: The Hornets are off to a slow start but they aren't dead. We like the New Orleans getting +7 1/2 at home.
