Bulls at Cavaliers NBA Picks: The Cleveland Cavaliers will be seeking their 11th win in 13 games and will have to get it against their old NBA Central Division nemesis, the Chicago Bulls. It was almost a month ago (Nov. 5) when Chicago was last in Cleveland and escaped Quicken Loans arena with a 86-85 victory. At that time the Cavs were trying to figure how Shaquille O'Neil would fit into the mix. The Bulls won that game as an 11 1/2-chalk favorite.
Today, a month later from their last game, the Cavaliers seem to have figured it out and are playing good basketball with O'Neil. NBA picks oddsmakers, not expecting a repeat of last months result, have lined Cleveland as 12 1/2-point favorites with a 190 total.
Since that loss to the Bulls, the Cavs have gradually been able to get in sync. They defeated Phoenix 107-90 on Wednesday for their 10th win in 12 games.
"We are a really good team. We are still getting better," Cavs star forward LeBron James said. "We are still not as good as we want to be, but you do not want to be great in November and December. You do not want to be that great right now. You want to continue to improve and continue to get better."
James finished with a season-low 12 points against the Suns, but added 10 assists and eight rebounds.
While the Cavs have shown improvement since the loss to the Bulls, Chicago hasn't enjoyed the same success since that meeting. The Bulls, 4-7 since beating Cleveland, snapped a five-game losing streak with Wednesday's 92-85 win over Detroit.
John Salmons had a game-high 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Salmons, averaging 14.7 points on the season, has scored 22 or more in three of the last four games.
