NBA Playoffs: No David vs. Goliath Match-up in the First Round

NBA Playoffs: No David vs. Goliath Match-up in the First RoundEven though this year’s NBA Playoff match-ups are not David vs. Goliath, some teams really have it easy, some teams really have it hard. There are a lot of questions waiting to be answered once the first round of the NBA Playoffs tip off today.

Can the Golden State Warriors stand in teh way of the Dallas Mavericks?

Can Denver’s momentum and late to blossom back court compete against the league’s best defensive team, San Antonio Spurs?

Does the Orlando Magic or New Jersey Nets have any shot at hanging around after the first round?

Does Cleveland really have it easy against “0”less Washington?

Can the Miami Heat get their groove back against Chicago? Or will Ben Wallace be the deciding factor to bring back Bull domination in NBA?

Will the LA Lakers relive 2006 all over again when Bryant visits the Marion/Nash/Stoudemire 3 headed giant?

And who will come out on top from the best match-up of the first round between Boozer/Okur or Tracy McGrady/Yao Ming?

Even though it does not seem as though there is a lot of buzz this year for the NBA Playoffs, the first round match-ups are very exciting and will draw public attention once it starts. All of the teams that made it truly deserved to be there. All of the underdogs are capable of surprising the favorites in a game or two, but the question lays can they make a series out of it. That is what makes NBA playoffs far more interesting and much harder to predict than the NFL playoffs. In football you might get lucky or the other team doesn’t show up one game and you make it, but in basketball one game is not the end of the world.

Our team of NBA experts have finished the regular season with huge plus on our bankroll but the playoffs offer NBA betting enthusiasts the chance to extensively build their bankrolls. Our NBA Experts have studied and predicted each of the NBA Playoff Series for the first round as follows:

Eastern Conference

#1 Detroit Pistons vs. #8 Orlando Magic
Even though Orlando does play better against better teams, Detroit has the talent and the strategy to not to let that happen. We think Orlando might be able to take a game, but when all said and done Detroit will sweep it on game 5. Series Prediction: Detroit

#2 Cleveland Cavaliers vs. #7 Washington Wizards
It seems like James got the best end of the deal, without Agent 0, we really don’t see Washington bringing their A Game to Cleveland. Cavaliers will sweep it on game 5. Series Prediction: Cleveland

#3 Toronto Raptors vs. #6 New Jersey Nets
Well, we will go against analysts and most of the sports media on this one, and take Nets over Raptors in this match up. After trade rumors Kidd and Carter must be the comeback pair of the year. These series will be the most exciting series in the East but young Bosh and the crew will have theirs hands full on New Jersey Turnpike. New Jersey will sweep it on game 7. Series Prediction: New Jersey

#4 Miami Heat vs. #5 Chicago Bulls
Wade is back, Shaq is playing like he is 20 again, and they will try to defend the Title against team basketball playing Bulls. Ben Wallace is a big factor and we will see that through these series but if Sharks of Miami get their tempo again Bulls can not do much to stand in the way. Miami will sweep it on game 6. Series Prediction: Miami

Western Conference

#1 Dallas Mavericks vs. #8 Golden State Warriors
Mark Cuban was sure rooting for Clippers on the final day but well he is going to take what he has now. Warriors did beat Dallas every game all season, busted streaks, even embarrassed them but when all said and done Mavericks will show up full strength and out score Warriors in these ,seems to be million points scored, series. Dallas will sweep it on game 5. Series Prediction: Dallas

#2 Phoenix Suns vs. #7 LA Lakers
One Man Show will try its best in Phoenix, but 3 Musketeers will strike full throttle, and Raja Bell will seal the deal for Suns. Suns will not repeat last year and fall behind early. Phoenix will sweep it on game 5. Series Prediction: Phoenix

#3 San Antonio Spurs vs. #6 Denver Nuggets
With all the momentum and finally playing together back court Denver will attack, but if anybody knows how to defend in this league that is San Antonio. Duncan and the guys will try to close it early but AI & CA duo won’t let that happen. We will watch series basketball when these teams clash. San Antonio will sweep it on game 6. Series Prediction: San Antonio

#4 Utah Jazz vs. #5 Houston Rockets
Best match up of the first round will feature at least 6 awesome and breathe taking basketball. Utah will try so hard to stop Yao, T-Mac will do his thing, but Boozer and Okur will win these series with their outside shooting. Utah will sweep it on game 6. Series Prediction: Utah
