The two best records in the NBA and Western Conference will go head-to-head tonight when the Phoenix Suns (19-7), visit the Dallas Mavericks (21-7) at the American Airlines Center in Dallas with tip-off at 8 p.m. (EST).
It’s a stark contrast to when the teams previously met in the first meeting in Phoenix on Nov. 9th. The two Western Conference rivals had a combined record of 1-8 (Phoenix 1-4, Dallas 0-4) and now have a combined record of 39-6 since. That victory sparked a 12-game win streak for the Mavericks. Both teams own the two longest win streaks in the NBA this season. Phoenix had a franchise-record 15-game win streak from Nov. 20-Dec. 19. The Suns are 18-2 since losing to Dallas on Nov. 9 and have not lost a game in regulation since the last meeting.
