Spurs and Suns try to break 1-1 deadlock in Conference Semifinals at San AntonioAfter three days off, the NBA Western Conference Semifinals series between the San Antonio Spurs and Phoenix Suns resumes in San Antonio’s AT&T Center tonight as the teams try to break the 1-1 series tie. Spurs fans haven't witnessed a game at home since the May 2 elimination of the Nuggets, and the team is eager to return to the AT&T Center after a 20-point loss in Game 2. Spurs guard Tony Parker put it this way, "It will be good to be at home on Saturday. The crowd will be behind and us we can have a reaction [to Game 2]."

The Suns didn't win in San Antonio during the regular season. Early in the season the Spurs took a dramatic overtime victory, and late in the year they edged the Suns 92-85 on April 5th in a game where Tony Parker scored 35 points. In that game Phoenix shot a paltry 38 percent from the field and was held to 14 assists.

On Friday Sun’s post man Amare Stoudemier gave the Spurs plenty of bulletin-board material by calling the Spurs a “dirty team.”

"He can continue to give us fuel if he wants to, but honestly we're not going to play any harder or any less because of what anybody says,'' Spurs big-man Tim Duncan said. "For whatever reason, I guess people don't expect people to play hard. It's not the regular season. We're not going to let people walk through us.''
