Tonight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, current WBA Welterweight Champion Antonio Margarito will put his belt on the line against former WBA Light Middleweight Champion, "Sugar" Shane Mosley. The fight can be seen live on HBO Pay-per-view at 10:00pm ET. Betting odds at SBGglobal.com have Margarito listed as a -500 money line favorite.

The 28 year Margarito, whose professional record is 37-5-1 with 26 knockouts, captured the WBA welterweight title last July when he beat Puerto Rican Champion Miguel Cotto by TKO at 2:05 into the 11th round. The Tijuana resident became the first fighter to beat Cotto at the professional level, despite taking several punishing blows in the early rounds. Antonio Margarito vs Shane Mosley Betting Odds

Margarito, also the former welterweight belt holder in the IBF and WBO, is two inches taller than Mosley at 5'11" but he has one inch less reach at 73". He will no doubt employee his characteristic pressure, which eventually lead to his defeat of Cotto, against Mosley. Antonio spends most of his fights moving at his opponent, a style he uses effectively due to his impeccable conditioning and hard chin.

Mosley, while nine years Margarito's senior, proved last September than he has a lot left in the tank. The Pomona, CA native knocked out Ricardo Mayorga with one second left in the 12th round, moving his professional record to 45-5-1 with 38 knockouts. Prior to the Mayorga victory, Mosley went the distance with the venerable Cotto in November of 2007, but lost via unanimous decision.

"Sugar" has all the tools to withstand Margarito's assault, but he will need to avoid the kind of late collapse that Cotto had against the tough Mexican. Margarito is willing to eat plenty of leather just to keep pressure on his opponent; Mosley will likely invite this early on, however, he will need to make sure his heavy left hand has something in reserve, as he did against Mayorga.

Mosley is also known for his industrious training and strong chin; he has never been knocked out or stopped in 51 professional fights.

SBGglobal.com's Antonio Margarito vs Shane Mosley Betting Odds:

Margarito -500 (Money line), -155 (Over 10.5 Rounds)

Mosley +350 (Money line), +125 (Under 10.5 Rounds)
